Welcome to Lemon Bay Garden Club

Lemon Bay Garden Club was established in 1959 with the aim of giving back to the community of Englewood, Florida financially and in hands-on support of a variety of municipal, educational, and environmental organizations. Here’s how we lived up to that goal during 2025 – and why you should chose to support us – especially during The Giving Challenge as all donations between $25 and $100 will be matched by The Patterson Foundation.

In 2025 we provided:

• $5,000 of scholarship money to three college students (sophomores, juniors, and seniors) enrolled in environmental related studies
• full scholarships for 2 children to the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs’ Camp Wekiva, located in Apopka, Florida
• monetary contributions to local organizations such as St. David’s Jubilee House, Meals on Wheels, Helping Hands, ECOSWF
• Arbor Day plantings at the historic Green Street Church
• monetary contributions to Florida Federation of Garden Club’s SEEK, Penny Pines, and Coral Restoration
• locally, yearly Rummage Sale, participation at Earth Day celebrations, free Flower Shows, plant sales of member donated and propagated plants, potted plants to residents of local assisted-living centers
